The S20330-SRS is a DC-bus servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the S200 Servo Drives series. It regulates torque, speed, and position of low-voltage brushless motors in compact machine modules and material-handling axes. By converting a 90 Vdc supply into three-phase output and coordinating feedback through modular network cards, the drive forms the control link between a motion controller and the servomotor in industrial automation cells.
Under a 75 Vdc bus, the drive can supply 250 W of continuous mechanical power, while continuous current is rated at 3 ARMS continuous and peak current reaches 9 ARMS during brief transients. A current-loop bandwidth of 5 kHz allows rapid torque adjustment, and the velocity loop can close at 800 Hz for precise speed profiles on indexing conveyors. Pulse-width modulation switches at 31.2 kHz, which helps reduce audible noise and improve current resolution. Motor windings up to 30 mH inductance are acceptable, and the power section is optimized for a shaft output of 180 W at 3000 rpm and 30 °C. The hardware depth, width, and height are 100.84 mm, 48.26 mm, and 152.40 mm, which supports high-density panel mounting without external heat sinks.
Peak apparent output reaches 750 VA, and the design remains stable with motor inductances down to 0.4 mH, allowing the S20330-SRS to drive low-resistance, high-speed rotors. The bus requirement is 90 VDC, which simplifies power distribution in mobile or battery-backed equipment. Installation can tolerate motor cables up to 50 m when 18 AWG conductors are used, and total mass is only 0.50 kg, which helps where mounting weight must be kept low. The standard build does not include an electrical option, but SynqNet cards add EnDat 2.1, sine encoder, and SFD/Hall interfaces through RJ connectors, while a CAN option card provides SFD/Comcoder compatibility.
