Internal Product Review
The S20330-CNS is a Kollmorgen S200 servo drive with 250 W continuous output power and a 90 VDC rating. A 5 kHz current loop bandwidth and 400 Hz velocity loop bandwidth support fast response and steady axis control. Position-node CANopen functionality and 3 ARMS continuous current make the drive a strong choice for precise servo applications.

Product Description:
Kollmorgen manufactures the S20330-CNS within the S200 Servo Drives series. Classified as an S200 servo drive, the unit functions as a position node on a CANopen fieldbus, allowing direct velocity and torque control of matched motors in distributed automation cells. Its primary role is to translate motion commands from a PLC into regulated armature currents so that axis positioning stays accurate under variable load and supply conditions.
The drive is supplied from a DC bus rated at 90 VDC, and it can deliver a continuous output of 250 W to the motor while supplying 3 ARMS continuous, with up to 9 ARMS peak for acceleration. Current regulation is handled by a loop with a bandwidth of 5 kHz, and speed is closed at 400 Hz; both figures support tight dynamic response. Internally, a switching stage operates at a ripple frequency of 31.2 kHz to minimize torque pulsation. The minimum peak-power interval is 3.0 s. CANopen position-node operation and support for SFD/Hall feedback create a coordinated motion axis without additional interface cards.
The power headroom extends to 750 VA for brief surges before the bus protective limits of 17 VDC for undervoltage and 91 VDC for overvoltage trigger a controlled shutdown. Compact mechanics aid cabinet layout, with a housing depth of 100.8 mm, a width of 48.3 mm, a height of 152.4 mm, and a weight of 0.5 kg. The base model has no electrical option installed, but optional cards are available. An SFD/Comcoder CAN card accepts resolver-based feedback, while separate SynqNet cards enable EnDat 2.1 or sine encoder channels for multi-axis networks. The aluminum chassis includes mounting slots so thermal coupling to a panel can dissipate heat generated by the high-bandwidth current stage without relying on external fans.
