Kollmorgen produces sophisticated drive units for the motion and logic control industry. The S200 drive series was introduced just a decade ago, featuring purpose specific drives, such as S200-VTS, -SDS, -SRS and -CNS. The S200-VTS family includes a number of AC and DC drive units. The S200-VTS AC drives include S20260-VTS, S20360-VTS, S21260-VTS etc. while S20330-VTS, S20630-VTS etc. belong to the DC drive category.
The S20260-VTS is an AC drive unit made by Kollmorgen. It is a base unit that features analog velocity and torque. The S20260-VTS AC drive unit by Kollmorgen has a current rating 02 which means 1.5 ARMS of continuous current and 4.5 ARMS of peak current. The minimum time to reach the peak current is 3 seconds. There are two versions in S20260-VTS; single phase and 3-phase. The single phase version of the S20260-VTS drive unit offers peak power output of 1400 volts-amperes at 240 Vac while, at 120 Vac, it generates up to 700 VA power. On the other hand, the 3-phase is meant only for a 240Vac source that produces up to 1500 VA of power. At 240 Vac, the 3-phase drive’s continuous output power is found to be 300 watts. The single-phase drive would generate the same output on such a voltage.
The S20260-VTS velocity torque drive offers sufficient options for feedback support. All unis have SFD/Halls. Since, it’s a base unit the S20260-VTS doesn’t support CAN option card or SynqNet Option Card. The S20260-VTS AC drive unit offers conformity with the EC, EMC and CE standards and therefore, it can be used with the S200 drive system anywhere in the world.
