The S20260-SRS servo drive is manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the S200 Servo Drives series. It conditions AC mains power, creates a regulated DC bus, and controls three-phase output so brushless motors can follow precise torque and velocity commands in packaging, material-handling, and robotics axes. By using a SynqNet option card, the unit connects deterministically with other nodes on an Ethernet-based motion network, while modular feedback slots allow the same housing to accept resolver, sine encoder, and digital Hall feedback without requiring a different enclosure.
Electrically, the drive operates from 120/240 VAC supplies. These inputs generate internal buses of 155 VDC when powered from 120 VAC and 320 VDC when powered from 240 VAC. Under a 240 VAC three-phase source, it delivers 600 W of continuous output and draws a continuous phase current of 1.5 ARMS. It also permits 4.5 ARMS for 3.0 seconds to cover acceleration spikes, and the upstream supply capacity does not need to exceed 100 kVA. The current regulator remains stable with motor inductances from 5 mH to 300 mH, allowing the use of high-torque or low-inertia motors without redesigning the drive cabinet.
The housing is compact, with a width of 54.75 mm, and the unit has a mass of only 0.84 kg. Network wiring enters through an RJ-45 receptacle on the front panel, matching the SynqNet option card that also supports EnDat 2.1 and sine encoder channels. A separate CAN card supports SFD and Comcoder feedback, and SFD and Hall inputs are available on all units. The power stage switches at 20 kHz to reduce current ripple and audible noise. No additional electrical option is installed at the factory, the serial port is disabled, and the operating mode is fixed to the SynqNet interface for consistent network operation across the series.
