The S20260-SDS servo drive from Kollmorgen belongs to the S200 Servo Drives series and is intended for closed-loop control of brushless axes in industrial automation. It converts incoming mains power to a regulated DC bus and pulse-width-modulated output so that a motion controller can command precise torque, speed, or position. Operating as the final power stage in a multi-axis system, the unit incorporates fault monitoring and regenerative handling while helping reduce cabinet depth and wiring. This arrangement supports stable motion on positioning and speed-controlled applications where quick response to load changes is important.

The drive accepts a line supply of 120/240 VAC and delivers phase currents of 1.5 ARMS continuous, 4.5 ARMS peak. A bus overvoltage fault is declared at 407 VDC +5%, and excess energy is returned to the DC link until the regenerative threshold of 397 VDC is reached. Switching occurs at an output ripple frequency of 20 kHz, keeping motor current smooth across the inductance range from 5 mH to 300 mH. The commanded peak current may be sustained for 3.0 s before foldback. Internal logic and gate drivers draw an additional 10 W of control power, and the base model does not include an electrical option card.

All units support SFD/Hall feedback, and optional SynqNet cards add EnDat 2.1 or sine-encoder interfaces, while an alternative CAN card accommodates SFD/Comcoder signals. When equipped with the SynqNet option, communication with the host controller is carried over the SynqNet fieldbus, and amplifier, network, and transducer leads terminate on Micro-D connectors integrated into that option hardware. The housing measures 175 mm in height, 131.6 mm in depth, and a panel width of 54.8 mm. Overall mass is only 0.84 kg, which helps the drive fit compact multi-axis layouts. The narrow enclosure also allows closely spaced installation without making cable access difficult.
