The RBE-03010-C00 is a brushless motor in the RBE series of motors by Kollmorgen. This motor features a frameless mechanical configuration, meaning that it does not come with a shaft, endbells or bearings. The absence of these components accounts for the reduced weight, volume, and complexity of the motor. It also improves servo stiffness and makes the system more responsive. The motor is integrated directly with the load such that the bearings that work for the load are the same ones that support the motor. Also, being a brushless motor, it offers unique advantages such as significantly reduced rotor inertia, increased acceleration, and improved heat dissipation and efficiency, compared to conventional motors.
