The RBE-03002-C00 from Kollmorgen is a brushless motor that offers several solutions for motor applications. It boasts a frameless design and a mechanical configuration that gives it a competitive advantage over other conventional variants. The design of the RBE-03002-C00 reduces functional complexities and improves servo stiffness, response and overall motor performance by eliminating the need for endbells, bearings, shafts and couplings. The exclusion of bearing, shafts and couplings significantly reduces motor-load torsional play.
At room temperature (25o C), the max. attainable continuous output power of this Kollmorgen brushless motor is as indicated by the manufacturer, and it is dependent on a standard aluminium heatsink and 130 degrees C rise in temperature. Generally, RBE motors have speeds up to 35000 rpm, continuous torque values within the range of 0.01 Nm – 38 Nm and peak torque values ranging from 0.03 Nm – 200 Nm. The RBE-03002-C00 has a maximum mechanical speed rating of 8300 rpm and 12 poles. It also has a winding designation of “C,” motor frame equals 030 and stack length is 02.
