The 502-03876-02R4 model is specially designed to be installed in the programmable industrial computers developed by Kollmorgen. The model is a remote service module I/O driver mainly installed in slot 1/2 for the PiC90 rack when slot 3/5 of the PiC90 rack is used as a remote or local expansion rack for a PiC900 master rack. The RSM I/O module takes electrical power from the AC 110 – 230 V power source and converts it into the DC voltage, which is then supplied to operate the hardware modules installed in the rack. The module also provides additional racks for connecting I/O modules to the PiC900 master rack. The unit takes input power through a 3-pin power connector. Several LEDs are also placed at the front of the module for diagnostic purposes. The RSM I/O module provides a power output of 40 W. The logic side power requirement for the unit is 510 mA at +5V. Only highly trained staff is allowed to operate the RSM I/O module.
The model 502-03876-02R4 is extensively used in the international market. Optical fiber cable is used for the remote I/O expansion and for ensuring EMC compliance. The overall dimensions of the module are 2.4” wide × 12” high × 8.4” deep. The ideal temperature required for the remote I/O module is +7 to +55 degree Celsius under the relative humidity of 5 to 90%. The module must be operated under the specified conditions.
