Kollmorgen is a leading brand name in the field of motion control technology.

The PiC 900 system is a programmable industrial computer that is used for a wide variety of motion control tasks. It is a combination of advanced hardware and software systems that are used for controlling an application as per user requirements. The programmable industrial computer is able to interact with a computer workstation or an operator interface device. The required applications can, however, be executed without a workstation or operator interface. The 502-03605-00R1 is an input 24V DC module that converts DC signals from devices into logic levels that are suitable for the PC to use. The device converts each signal to corresponding logic 0 or 1 that is transmitted to the CPU module through the system bus. The device is provided with a diagnostic LED that lights up when the diagnostic tests are running. The LED goes off when the module passes the power-on diagnostic tests.

The 502-03605-00R1 comes with a 32 point configuration. The device monitors the on/off states from DC voltage inputs. The maximum allowed voltage for this model is 30 VDC and it has a 7.5 mA maximum current at maximum voltage. The logic circuits are protected with an optical isolation between the logic and field sides. The device gives the most optimum performance in a temperature range that is between 7 °C and 55 °C. The ideal storage temperature conditions are between -40 °C and 85 °C. The system should only be used in areas where the humidity levels are between 5% and 95%. The field side power dissipation of this module is 7.2 W.
