NSM3412 is a Kollmorgen NSM series servo motor. Servo motors are designed to produce precise control of angular position, speed, and acceleration. They are used in applications that require high performance, accuracy, and reliability. Servo motors are paired with a feedback mechanism, such as an encoder or resolver, which helps in controlling the motor's position, speed, and torque. A standard encoder is installed on the NSM3412 motor for speed and position feedback. NSM motors support an optional holding brake. However, this motor is without the brake. Applications for NSM motors include packaging machines, robotics, material handling and web processing. NSM motors support several standard features, including rugged construction for industrial deployments, multiple NEMA mounting frame sizes, and an integrated encoder. Optional NSM motor features include shaft seals and the holding brake.
