Product Description:

Kollmorgen is a manufacturer of industrial motion control products and automation systems.

The NEXTSTEP 2038 is a high quality microstepping drive that incorporates all the features available in a modern motor/drive package. The device comes with a competitive price while ensuring performance, convenience, and enhancements. This model allows a space saving arrangement with an internal cooling tunnel that keeps the electronics cool and clean. The micro-stepping drive is able to operate from a standard line voltage and accepts step and direction or optional anti clockwise/ clockwise step input. The system is provided with descriptive tri-color LEDs. To ensure optimal smoothness and step to step accuracy, the device comes with an adjustable motor current waveform. The device is able to safely dissipate energy from large inertial loads because of its built-in regenerative circuit. The drive comes with the industry's first auto-adjusting current loop that can deliver more torque at higher speeds for a better speed/torque curve.

The NEXTSTEP 2038 ensures smooth performance throughout the entire motion profile. This micro-stepping drive is guaranteed to be reliable in unpredictable conditions. It has been designed with significant protection against short circuits, under voltage, and overtemperature. The system is provided with a REST switch that reduces motor current when the drive is powered but not in use. This reduces the temperature of both, the drive and the motor. The drive is designed with the latest technology in power electronics that enables users to mount multiple NextStep drives side-by-side for the best utilization of available space. When using this model, better cycle times are ensured because of higher acceleration rates and operating speeds. This provides higher throughput and better productivity.
