The MTC1504A1-R2C2 is a servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the MTC Servo Motors series. As a frameless rotary actuator, it is intended to drive axes that require quick acceleration and precise positioning in packaging machines, pick-and-place heads, and similar automated platforms. The motor converts electrical energy into mechanical torque that can be tightly regulated by a compatible drive controller. Because it is a frameless design, it is meant to be integrated into the machine structure rather than used as a fully enclosed standalone motor.

At its continuous operating point, the winding draws 2.93 ARMS while delivering torque according to a constant of 0.258 N·m/ARMS. When the shaft rotates at the rated speed of 6000 rpm, the motor outputs 0.37 kW of mechanical power and generates a back electromotive force of 15.6 VRMS per krpm that must be countered by the inverter. The eight-pole rotor can be supplied from lines up to 250 VRMS, and the windings may momentarily accept 11 ARMS for rapid acceleration. Dynamic events are covered by a peak torque capacity of 2.42 N·m, while steady holding demands are met by a continuous stall value of 0.742 N·m. A permanent-magnet brake, energized at 24 VDC, locks the shaft when power is removed so vertical or load-sensitive axes can stay in position. With the brake installed, the unit weighs 1.8 kg, which matters when the motor is mounted on moving machine members such as gantries or robotic arms. The brake also supports load retention when the main drive is disabled.
