The MSM215-407-304-S-2KA is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen for the MSM Brushless Servo Motors series. It is intended for tightly controlled positioning and speed regulation in automated production cells, allowing drive controllers to translate motion commands into precise shaft movement. Its permanent-magnet construction and integrated feedback provide the torque density needed for gantries, packaging stations, and metal-cutting axes.
The motor operates from a nominal 460 V bus and has six poles for smooth sinusoidal commutation. At the rated speed of 3000 rpm, the shaft delivers a continuous torque of 46 Nm, and the motor has a peak stall current of 36.6 A.
