The MSM165-93-204-E2-0KA brushless servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen within the MSM Brushless Servo Motors series. As a rotary actuator, it converts drive current into precise shaft motion for pick-and-place modules, indexing tables, and other automated axes that require closed-loop speed and position control. Its design is optimized for drives with a 460 V bus, and it is supplied without a brake to reduce inertia during dynamic duty cycles.
The motor provides a continuous torque of 10.5 Nm, which it can deliver continuously under rated operating conditions. A rated speed of 2000 rpm pairs this torque with moderate shaft velocity for midrange power applications. When rapid acceleration is needed, the motor supplies up to 34 Nm for short periods, provided that the drive can furnish a peak phase current of 24.0 A. The torque constant of 1.86 Nm/A indicates the relationship between stator current and produced torque, simplifying current-loop tuning.
