The MSM115-89-404-E2-2KA is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the MSM Brushless Servo Motors series. This compact motor is suitable for packaging lines, pick-and-place axes, and other machinery that benefits from responsive closed-loop speed and torque control. At a rated shaft speed of 4000 rpm, the motor delivers a continuous torque of 10 Nm, while transient demand can be met with a peak torque of 32 Nm. The electromagnetic conversion ratio is 1.03 Nm/A, allowing the drive to regulate torque in proportion to the supplied current. During startup or stall conditions, current rises to 10.9 A peak. Coil heating is limited by a winding resistance of 2.0 ohms at 25 °C, while the drive’s current loop compensates for changing back EMF associated with the 123 V/krpm voltage constant.
