Product Description:
The MT1506B1-E2C1 is a cost-effective brushless servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen under the Goldline XT product line. Boasting a rugged NEMA 23 package, this servomotor offers very low cogging and high output torque for driving loads precisely. With its compact frame and construction, this motor is suitable for tight applications requiring a prime mover with high torque density. XT150 motors like the MT1506B1-E2C1 come with built-in PTC thermistors and a PPR encoder feedback. The integrated PTC thermistors effectively measure the winding temperature of the motor, while the PPR encoder feedback monitors the rotor angular displacement. As a Kollmorgen motor, the MT1506B1-E2C1 is fully compatible with CD digital amplifiers.
Based on its nameplate, the MT1506B1-E2C1 can achieve a rated horsepower of 0.87 HP. In SI units, the rated power of the device is equivalent to 650 W. At nameplate conditions, the machine can drive loads at a typical shaft speed of 6000 revolutions per minute. The continuous line current of the motor at this operating point is around 5.9 amperes. Theoretically, the MT1506B1-E2C1 has a maximum acceleration of 159,000 rad/sec^2. Although this motor is designed to operate in a voltage range of 115 to 230 VAC, it can safely tolerate a maximum line-to-line RMS voltage of 250 V.
Without a holding brake, the MT1506B1-E2C1 weighs around 4.1 pounds or 1.9 kilograms. At 25 degrees Celsius, the motor has a recorded DC resistance and motor constant of 1.34 ohms and 0.183, respectively. Like other Goldline motors by Kollmorgen, this brushless motor has eight poles with a mechanical separation of 45 degrees. With its compact construction and high output characteristics, the MT1506B1-E2C1 is ideal for highly dynamic applications and systems.
