Product Description:
The M-607-A-B1-E1 servo motor is built by Kollmorgen for the M Goldline Servo Motors series and is intended for mid-range motion axes in industrial automation. It bolts to gearboxes or machine plates with a standard metric mount and uses threaded connectors supplied with mating plugs to simplify field connection of power and signal leads. An encoder adapter is provided without an installed encoder so integrators can select incremental or absolute feedback that matches their drive. The windings are insulated for up to 250 VRMS line-to-line, permitting direct connection to matched Goldline amplifiers in packaging, printing, and surface-mount equipment.
The motor has a back-electromotive force constant of 135.0 VRMS/kRPM, which indicates the voltage returned to the drive per unit of speed and affects the bus voltage required for a given rpm. During continuous operation, the stator can carry 20.0 A RMS, enabling the motor to hold a continuous stall torque of 44.8 N-m on static or slowly moving loads. Copper losses are limited by a phase-to-phase resistance of 0.500 ohms, while the 15.6 mH winding inductance helps attenuate current ripple from pulse-width-modulated inverters. A torque constant of 2.24 N-m/A RMS links commanded current to delivered mechanical torque, allowing predictable tuning in digital servo loops.
For transient moves, the drive may deliver 62.0 A RMS for a limited duration, allowing the rotor to reach a peak torque of 132.0 N-m and achieve a calculated maximum acceleration of 6,220 rad/s² on correctly matched loads. The thermal and magnetic design supports a shaft output of 6.6 kW at rated speed, matching the power range of midsize indexing tables and roll feeds. The enclosure meets the IP65 protection code, so the housing resists dust ingress and water jets when installed with the proper mating connectors and gaskets.
