This family of motors features a high thermal design and high energy rare earth magnets that help the motors to provide unique acceleration capabilities enclosed in a compact package. Kollmorgen Goldline servo motors are available in low inertia series, medium inertia series, or explosion-proof variants. For optimal performance, the motors are designed to be interfaced with Kollmorgen ServoStar amplifiers.
The M-605-A-A3 is a medium-inertia motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. It operates with an input voltage of 230 Volts AC, supports NEMA and metric mounts, and is UL recognized. For optimal temperature regulation, the M-605-A-A3 features a pre-installed thermostat. The Kollmorgen servo motor features a resolver for feedback. A resolver can withstand higher temperatures and electrical disturbances which improves the accuracy and stability of the M-605-A-A3 on the industrial floor. The Kollmorgen M-605-A-A3 has a continuous torque and peak torque ratings of 30.1 N-m and 60.2 N-m respectively while its continuous power stands at 6.0 kilowatts. The motor is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 2150 revolutions per minute. The M-605-A-A3 supports the Kollmorgen ServoStar SR20 amplifier. The amplifier is designed to simplify system set-up, installation, and has precision torque control due to precision balanced current loops with closed loop sensors. It also features fully digital control loops.
