Product Description:
The M-443-B-A1 is a permanent-magnet servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the M Goldline Servo Motors series. It converts controlled electrical power from a drive into precise rotary motion, supplying regulated torque and speed to indexing tables, gantry axes, and other automated equipment. The housing contains an integrated thermostat and resolver, allowing thermal status and shaft position data to reach the drive through dedicated leads. Resolver feedback provides continuous shaft-angle information and remains resistant to electrical noise in industrial environments. These integrated components support closed-loop operation without requiring separate external feedback or temperature-monitoring devices.
The windings accept 230 VAC supplied by the drive, and the insulation withstands a regenerated bus voltage of 320 VDC during deceleration. The square frame measures 115 mm on each side, providing a compact motor body for installations with limited space. A precision front pilot with a diameter of 110 mm centers the motor on a mating flange and supports accurate alignment with connected machinery. The output shaft has a diameter of 20 mm, balancing torsional capacity with rotational inertia for responsive motion. The internal thermostat is connected to the drive’s enable circuit so an overtemperature condition can stop operation before excessive heat damages the windings. The resolver and thermostat use dedicated signal leads, keeping position feedback separate from the motor’s power conductors.
Face mounting follows an IEC pattern with a 130 mm bolt circle and four threaded holes, allowing the motor to attach directly to compatible gearboxes or machine plates. The shaft extension measures 37 mm, providing sufficient engagement for keyed hubs without requiring spacer sleeves. The embedded thermal switch opens at 132 °C ±5 °C and resets at 117 °C ±5 °C, allowing the windings to cool before operation resumes. Mounting surfaces should provide adequate clearance around the housing so heat can dissipate during continuous or cyclic loading. Connected equipment must also remain aligned with the pilot and shaft to limit bearing stress, vibration, and coupling wear during operation.
