Product Description:
M-405-A-B1 is a brushless servo motor from Kollmorgen’s Goldline series. It uses permanent magnets for high power density and output torque. This is a medium-inertia motor with similar performance to motors with lower inertia. Features include UL recognition, rear shaft extensions, class H insulation, integrated thermostat, and rugged resolver feedback. Available options include frail-safe brake, IP65/IP67 sealing, encoder feedback, NEMA mounting and mating connectors. Power output rating of the M-405-A-B1 motor is 2.7 Horsepower or 2 kilowatts. The speed at rated power output is 1500 RPM and the peak speed is also 1500 RPM. At stall the continuous torque is 13 NM at 40 degrees Celsius and 12.8 Nm at 25 degrees Celsius. The continuous line current is 6 Amps rms. Peak output torque of the motor is 35.9 Nm.
The peak line current is 16.4 Amps. The maximum theoretical acceleration is 8150 rad/s2. The maximum line to line voltage are 250 Volts rms. DC resistance of the motor at 25 degrees Celsius is 4.1 Ohms. Approximate weight of the servo motor is 15.5 kilograms. The specified static friction is 0.26 Nm. Thermal time constant of the motor is 25 minutes and the thermal resistance at stall is 0.35 degrees Celsius per Watt. Windings on the M-405-A-B1 motor have four poles. The motor must be used in combination with a compatible motor controller. High voltages and currents on the motor and connected cables are a source of potential injury for working personnel. Improper installation can lead to equipment damage and degraded performance. To prevent these problems, only authorized personnel with proper training and experience should be allowed to handle or operate the servo motor.
