Product Description:
The LSM75-21-602-S-2KA is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen in its LSM Brushless Servo Motors series. Engineered for closed-loop motion axes, the unit converts electrical energy into controlled rotary output for positioning, speed regulation, and tension control tasks in industrial automation cells. Its compact frame and integrated feedback allow the motor to be mounted directly on indexing tables, conveyors, and packaging heads where repeatable torque is required without mechanical transmission losses.
At the output shaft, the motor can deliver a continuous torque of 2.36 Nm while maintaining thermal equilibrium. When commanded to accelerate, it reaches a mechanical speed ceiling of 6000 rpm, supported by an eight-pole rotor that balances magnetic flux and inertia. The drive must supply up to 21.6 A peak during dynamic events. With a torque constant of 0.42 Nm/A, this current provides responsive torque for rapid motion. A voltage constant of 49 V/krpm indicates the back electromotive force presented to the inverter and supports operation with the 230 VAC winding configuration. Single-turn sine-cosine feedback provides absolute position information to the controller. The bearing system tolerates a radial load of 24 kg at maximum speed without exceeding its rated service life.
Transient overloads can be accommodated with a peak torque capacity of 8.8 Nm, and the electromagnetic circuit draws a stall current of 5.5 A peak when the rotor is locked. Electrical dynamics are shaped by a winding inductance of 17.9 mH and a DC resistance of 2.26 ohms at 25 °C. These electrical values affect current ripple, servo bandwidth, and thermal dissipation in the connected drive. An optional fail-safe brake operates from 24 VDC, engages when power is removed, and adds 49 mm to the motor body. The feedback housing adds another 25 mm to the overall length and accommodates the position sensor within the motor assembly.
