LSM63-6-602-E1-0KA is a Kollmorgen LSM series AC servo motor. It has a brushless design with electronic circuits performing commutation. Compared to traditional brushed motors, LSM motors are more reliable and require less maintenance. These motors support feedback and operators can order incremental, sin/cos and multiturn encoders for their servo motors. A 2000-line incremental encoder is installed on the LSM63-6-602-E1-0KA motor. It provides feedback to the Kollmorgen MMC series drive used for LSM motor control. An optional feature for LSM motors is a holding brake, but this feature is not available on the motor. The shaft on LSM motors can be with or without a keyway. The main shaft on this motor does include a keyway. LSM motor are available in 230 or 460 Volt rating. The LSM63-6-602-E1-0KA motor is rated for 230 Volts.

Nominal speed of the AC servo motor is 6000 RPM. With a rotor inertia of 0.000011 kg m2, the motor provides extremely fast deceleration and acceleration. Winding data for the motor include 26.2 millihenry inductance, 8.49 Ohms resistance, 43 Volts/kRPM voltage constant, and 0.35 Nm/A torque constant.
