The LSM54-3-602-E1-2KA is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen in the LSM Brushless Servo Motors series. Designed for tightly controlled position, velocity, and torque loops, it mounts directly on machinery in automated pick-and-place stations, packaging lines, and compact robotic axes. Electronic commutation and integrated feedback allow the motor to deliver repeatable motion profiles while reducing the maintenance associated with brushed designs. Its compact design makes it suitable for space-constrained, multi-axis stages where precise movement is required.
The motor delivers a continuous shaft torque of 0.33 Nm, while momentary demands can be satisfied by a peak torque of 1.32 Nm. Torque rises proportionally with current through a torque constant of 0.35 Nm/A, allowing the drive to calculate mechanical response from current feedback. The winding set has a resistance of 30.29 Ω and an inductance of 57.5 mH, which affect current rise time and copper loss. At stall, the controller may supply a peak current of 1.0 A, while dynamic moves can require up to 3.8 A peak. A 230 VAC bus excites eight rotor poles, resulting in rated operation at 6000 rpm and a back electromotive force constant of 43 V/kRPM.
