The LSM215-589-204-S-2KA is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the LSM Brushless Servo Motors series. It is intended for industrial automation tasks that require accurate speed and torque regulation, such as indexing tables, form-fill-seal stations, and precision gantries. When paired with a compatible digital drive, the motor provides closed-loop rotary motion that maintains the commanded position even under changing mechanical loads.
The motor delivers a continuous output of 66 Nm, making it suitable for mid-torque processes that run around the rated speed of 2000 rpm. A torque constant of 1.84 Nm/A links drive current to mechanical output, so the controller can predict load response during dynamic moves. When rapid acceleration is required, the converter may momentarily supply up to 144.2 A(pk). Copper windings sized for this current are arranged in an eight-pole stator.
