Product Description:
The LSM130-102-304-E2-2KA is a three-phase brushless servo motor engineered by Kollmorgen for motion axes that require medium-frame torque density. As a member of the LSM Brushless Servo Motors series, it combines a permanent-magnet rotor with electronic commutation to produce precise rotary positioning in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. The motor interfaces with a matched digital drive to translate command current into shaft torque, giving machine builders a compact link between electrical energy and mechanical rotation in closed-loop automation.
Under continuous load, the motor delivers 11.5 Nm of sustainable torque while operating within its thermal limits at the rated airflow. When rapid acceleration is required, the drive may command a peak torque of 52 Nm for momentary movements. The rotor has a rated speed of 3000 rpm, supported by an eight-pole magnetic circuit and a voltage constant of 154 V/krpm. To support peak output, the inverter may supply up to 48.1 A, while steady operation generally draws the 9.6 A stall current. The 1.28 Nm/A torque constant allows shaft torque to be calculated directly from the commanded current. The winding set tolerates an incoming bus voltage of 460 V without derating.
The rotor inertia with the holding brake is 0.00063 kg·m², balancing dynamic response with load stability, while the complete assembly has a mass of 13 kg. Radial bearings can carry 58 kg at rated speed, allowing belt or pulley side loads to remain within service-life targets. The shaft terminates in an M8 × 1.25 mm thread for secure attachment to compatible coupling or locking hardware. The internal windings have an inductance of 12.4 mH and a resistance of 2.2 Ω, providing the electrical characteristics needed for current-loop tuning. The integrated holding brake operates at 24 VDC and maintains the shaft position when motor power is removed. This brake helps prevent unintended movement when the axis is stopped or the drive is disabled.
