The IL03030A1104 ironless direct-drive linear motor coil is produced by Kollmorgen within the IL Ironless DDL Motors series. Acting as the moving element over a permanent-magnet track, it supplies cog-free thrust for pick-and-place axes, gantry tables, and semiconductor stages. By eliminating an iron core, the coil maintains very low inertia, which supports smooth, precise positioning in high-precision assembly lines while converting amplifier current directly into linear motion for closed-loop automation.

The coil delivers a continuous thrust of 19 N while drawing 2.3 Arms, and this relationship is supported by its force constant of 8.4 N/Arms. For rapid moves, the drive can command a peak current of 7.1 Arms to generate up to 60 N of instantaneous force. Magnetic flux linkage and winding geometry give the coil an inductance of 0.65 mH L-L, and the copper path measures 3.1 Ω line to line, which helps limit I²R losses.
