The MCD0500256001 is a linear motor secondary element produced by Kollmorgen within the ICD Ironcore Direct Drives series. Designed as the stationary track that interacts with moving-coil primaries, this magnet way provides the continuous flux path required for precise gantry, packaging, and semiconductor handling stages in industrial automation. It supplies an ironcore reference surface that maintains pole spacing and stiffness so payload carriages follow commanded trajectories under dynamic loads.

The section is built for direct integration into machine frames. A stainless-steel cover shields the magnets, while the laminated base has a nominal thickness of 4.0 mm for rigidity without excessive mass. The section has 8 tapped mounting holes arranged on a 64.0 mm bolt pitch so the strip aligns with common T-slot or drilled rail patterns, and each hole is counterbored to a depth of 1.6 mm to recess fastener heads below the running surface.
