As an iron-core linear motor coil, it works with a matching magnet track to create direct linear thrust without ball screws or belts. This direct-drive arrangement enables precise position and velocity control in pick-and-place tables, gantry axes, semiconductor tooling, and other automated motion systems. Eliminating intermediate transmission components can also reduce backlash and simplify the mechanical layout of the driven axis.
