It generates thrust without gears or ball screws by interacting with a stationary magnet track, so it is built for high-accuracy gantries, pick-and-place axes, and test fixtures that demand stiff position control. Because only the coil and flying-lead harness move, the moving mass stays low, which supports fast acceleration and precise settling in repetitive industrial automation cycles. The iron-core design also provides strong magnetic coupling to the track, which supports high thrust density in compact linear axes.
The coil works with drives that supply up to 480 VAC.
