The IC11030A1TSC1 is a linear motor from Kollmorgen that makes use of a direct-drive and an iron core. The IC11 series motor has a direct connection to the driven load and is placed in a flat position. The motor is capable of operating both at 240VAC and 120VAC. It generates 320N to 8407N peak force to comply with high instantaneous power requirements. The high-efficiency motor also features low thermal loss. The generated force is maximized using a single-sided magnet-way through silicon steel laminations that encompass coil windings.The device is used in instances where large masses have to be accelerated during machining.

The direct-drive motor is designed to meet EN 60034-1 and IP 23 protection requirements. The packing material of the motor must be discarded only after all the components have been accounted for and verified. The magnetic-way assembly is fixed to the base plate of the stage using a bolting mechanism. The base plate must be kept in a flat position with respect to the slide.
