This servo motor is designed for high demanding industrial applications where motor reliability, precision, and compactness are essential. Being compact and lightweight, this motor can serve as an exact upgrade or replacement to Kollmorgen’s extensive HSM400 and HSM600 line of motors. The M.1015.8017 comes in five different frame sizes to support its use in a variety of applications, and enable the user to choose the best size for operation. The neodymium-iron-bor permanent magnet rotor makes it possible to provide high power density as well as efficient operation of the motor and the internal thermal switch increases safety of the motor by controlling the heat generated within the motor.
