The M.1015.7998 is a Kollmorgen motor in the HSM Brushless Servo Motors series, intended for positioning or velocity-controlled axes in automated machinery. Inside a servo loop, it converts drive current into rotational motion that can be commanded with high precision. This capability allows conveyors, pick-and-place heads, or indexing tables to reach repeatable setpoints without mechanical gearing.
The rotor can reach a maximum speed of 4000 rpm, so motion profiles that demand rapid acceleration stay within electrical limits. A sine torque constant of 0.50 Nm/A indicates how much shaft torque the drive can expect for every ampere of phase current, while the voltage constant of 60 V/krpm indicates the back electromotive force that the inverter must overcome at high speed. Dynamic response is supported by a rotor inertia of 0.00054 kg·m²; this moderate value lets the axis change velocity quickly without excessive current spikes.
