The M.1015.7987 is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen as part of the HSM Brushless Servo Motors series. The design couples a permanent-magnet rotor with stator windings optimized for vector drives, allowing rapid torque regulation and speed control. In automated pick-and-place stations, small conveyors, and indexing tables, the unit supplies precise rotary motion that PLCs can synchronize with sensors for repeatable positioning within industrial automation cells.
The motor delivers a continuous shaft output of 0.8 Nm, while short-term demands can be met with up to 2.94 Nm of peak torque, giving the motor a 3.6:1 overload margin for acceleration bursts. A torque constant of 0.31 Nm/A links commanded phase current to generated torque, and the back-EMF constant of 34 V/krpm indicates the voltage the drive must overcome as speed rises. With a rated supply of 230 V, these electromagnetic parameters align with common single-phase bus converters used in compact servo amplifiers.
