Product Description:
The H31NRFP-LNF-NS-00 is a hybrid stepper motor produced by Kollmorgen within the H Hybrid Motors series. It is intended for indexed or continuous positioning tasks in industrial automation where repeatable motion must be generated without an external feedback loop. By combining permanent-magnet and variable-reluctance principles, the motor delivers full-step operation while remaining compatible with NEMA mounting provisions used on packaging stations, pick-and-place heads, and small gantry axes.
The mechanical profile centers on a NEMA 34 frame whose housing length does not exceed 2.58 in, allowing installation in tight electrical panels. With a holding torque of 239 oz-in, the rotor can maintain load position when the drive current is regulated at its rated value. Each full step advances the shaft by 1.8 degrees, and step accuracy stays within ±1.5%, giving consistent incremental moves over the full travel. The smooth stainless steel shaft accepts up to 180 lb of axial force and 35 lb of radial force without accelerated bearing wear. Overall mass is 3.2 lb, so inertia felt by the host axis is low, and single-stack construction keeps the magnetic path short for quicker response. The motor is shipped in standard construction with an eight-lead wiring scheme for series or parallel hookup and a regular lead-wire connection style.
Electrical insulation follows IEC insulation class Class B, 130 °C, and the motor allows continuous duty in ambient temperatures from -20 °C to +40 °C. The stator winding is optimized for maximum torque at high speed and has 100 megohms of insulation resistance with a 340 Vdc dielectric withstand. Rotor inertia is only 0.0083 oz-in-s², supporting rapid acceleration when paired with low-inductance drives. Eight color-coded #22 AWG leads are supplied at a minimum length of 12 in to simplify routing inside cabinets. With 200 full steps per revolution, the motor easily divides one turn into uniform pulses for open-loop microstepping systems.
