Internal Product Review
The H22NRFP-LNN-NS-00 is a Kollmorgen hybrid motor with a NEMA 23 frame and regular leadwire connection. A 1.8-degree step angle and ±1.5% step accuracy support dependable positioning in demanding motion systems. Eight-lead configuration and a winding optimized for maximum torque at high speed make the motor a strong choice for precise indexing duty.

Product Description:
The H22NRFP-LNN-NS-00 is a hybrid stepper motor produced by Kollmorgen within the H Hybrid Motors series. As a NEMA 23-frame device, it provides incremental rotary positioning for indexers, pick-and-place modules, and general motion axes in industrial automation. The unit combines permanent-magnet and variable-reluctance technology so it can develop holding torque at standstill while responding to pulse drives without internal feedback components.
Mechanically, the motor uses a 2.25-inch round frame that complies with the NEMA 23 outline, so it aligns directly with standard faceplates. Eight individual leads arranged in the 8-lead wiring format allow full-coil, half-coil, or series-parallel coil configurations through the standard leadwire connection style. With a rotor divided into two laminated stacks, the 1.8-degree basic step size translates into 200 discrete positions per revolution, and each incremental move stays within ±1.5% of the commanded angle. Because the device operates open loop and has no integrated feedback, position verification must be derived from commanded pulse counts. The smooth single shaft simplifies coupling to timing pulleys, while the NEMA mounting style reduces alignment work.
The windings have a Class B, 130 °C insulation rating, and the motor has an insulation resistance of 100 megohms when tested at ambient conditions. The insulation system also withstands up to 340 VDC without breakdown, allowing use with a range of chopper or L/R drives. The permissible ambient temperature spans -20 °C to +40 °C, which suits most cabinet or machine-mounted locations without forced cooling. The lack of a shaft seal reduces drag in high-speed applications. A single smooth shaft projects from the housing, so encoder discs or custom couplers can be attached directly.
