The EB-406-C-11 is an explosion-proof permanent-magnet servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the EB Explosion Proof Motors series. Designed for hazardous-location drive systems, the unit supplies rotational motion to pumps, agitators, and indexing tables while containing internal ignition sources. Its sealed construction allows high-performance servo capability in Class I and Class II environments without separate flameproof housings.
During steady operation, the motor delivers a continuous stall torque of 17.0 N-m at a winding temperature of 40 °C while drawing 27.2 Arms from the drive. That sustained capability is paired with a base speed of 5000 rpm, so the mechanical output reaches a rated power of 7.2 kW. The stator is wound for a line supply of 230 V AC, and at that voltage the back EMF constant is 37.7 Vrms per thousand revolutions while the torque constant equals 0.63 N-m/Arms.
