The E34HLHS-LNK-NS-03 is a hybrid stepper motor manufactured by Kollmorgen within the E Hybrid Stepper Motors series. It converts step commands from a drive into incremental shaft rotation for positioning tables, pick-and-place axes, and other open-loop automation tasks. By providing discrete motion without an encoder, the unit offers repeatable indexing for machinery that needs precise movement but can operate without closed-loop feedback.

The motor is built on a NEMA 34 frame, allowing it to bolt directly to heavy-duty NEMA mounts on gearboxes or linear stages. Power phases exit through a four-lead parallel cable, lowering resistance so higher torque can be produced at modest bus voltages. Each full step advances the rotor by 1.8 degrees, yielding 200 steps per revolution. Positional repeatability stays within ±1.5%, providing dependable accuracy for indexing tables and labelers. Four laminated rotor stacks increase detent torque during unpowered holding. A smooth shaft simplifies connection to rigid collars or pulleys. Because the design has no feedback device, fewer conductors are required between the motor and drive.

The electrical insulation provides a resistance of 100 megohms, while the dielectric strength reaches 340 VDC for compatibility with common microstepping drives. Kollmorgen’s SIGMAX construction uses optimized laminations to increase torque density without enlarging the motor. The permitted ambient temperature range is -20 °C to +40 °C, covering the conditions found on many production floors. The splashproof connection routes conductors through a ½-inch NPS pipe-thread conduit fitting to an internal terminal board. Class B insulation rated for 130 °C protects the windings from thermal stress. The sealed conduit entry helps protect the internal connections from washdown mist during operation.
