Product Description:
The E33NLFA-LNN-NS-00 hybrid stepper motor is produced by Kollmorgen as a member of the E Hybrid Stepper Motors series, and it is intended for open-loop positioning in automated machinery. By advancing one full step for every command pulse, it translates digital drive signals into incremental mechanical motion. This operation allows the motor to index products, advance web material, or actuate pick-and-place heads without encoder feedback. Its incremental movement is suitable for applications in which the drive tracks the commanded pulse count and the mechanical load remains within the available torque range.
This model is built on a NEMA 34 frame, so its 3.4-inch square faceplate aligns with common gearboxes and mounting brackets. Internal magnetic circuits use SIGMAX construction, a design that reduces flux leakage and increases holding torque for the 200 discrete positions produced by the full-step geometry. The native step angle of 1.8 degrees provides 200 steps per revolution, and the mechanical error remains within ± 1.5 %, allowing repeatable positioning when the load stays within the published torque limits. A conduit interface accepts field wiring through a 1/2-inch pipe thread. The splash-proof terminal board protects the conductors in washdown areas or environments exposed to coolant. These interfaces support secure installation while keeping the electrical connections enclosed during operation.
Eight stator leads provide flexible winding options, and the eight-lead configuration allows the motor to be wired for series, parallel, or unipolar operation according to the available drive current. The insulation resistance is rated at 100 megohms, while Class B materials rated for 130 °C tolerate typical winding temperatures without degradation. The insulation system also withstands up to 340 VDC during dielectric testing, supporting full-bridge drives that switch elevated bus voltages for faster current rise. Continuous service is permitted from -20 °C to +40 °C, allowing the motor to operate in cold-storage conveyors and on ambient factory floors without supplemental heating or cooling. Proper drive-current selection helps limit winding temperature during sustained operation. Series wiring favors lower current requirements, while parallel wiring supports faster current response when used with a compatible stepper drive.
