The Digifas 7202-CAN servo drive amplifier is a highly efficient device produced by Kollmorgen to carry out automation control in the industrial servo system by amplifying the electrical voltage it receives from the controller to stimulate an appropriate response from the industrial motor. The digifas 7202-CAN servo drive series is designed specifically for the control of the 6SM synchronous motor series; the housing of this controller does not offer it protection from the ingression of dust particles and liquid substance; it is thus important for the operator to ensure that the controller is installed in a closed switch cabinet, taking into consideration the environmental requirements clearly stated in the user manual of this device. This industrial servo amplifier contains a controllable holding brake that can hold the load connected to the motor shaft in place during a standstill.

The Digifas 7202-CAN servo drive amplifier can control industrial motors to operate over a broad speed range; thus, it is perfectly suited for industrial machines with different speed requirements. The rated input voltage used by this industrial controller for optimum operation falls between 80 to about 400 volts. During operation, this servo amplifier generates an electromagnetic field which can infare with the smooth operation of devices such as hearing aids, cardiac pacemakers and metal inplants, thus to prevenet fatal accidents, persons wearing any of these devices should not be allowed to move near the amplifier.

The permissible humidity level at which this industrial servo drive amplifier should be operated falls betwwen 5 to 85 percent; also, not form of liquid condensation should be allowed to occur around the controller as this can cause electrical damage in the power circuit of the servo drive amplifier.
