Product Description

The DH062M-12-1310 is a Direct Drive Rotary Motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. The company has 7 decades of experience in electromechanical and electromagnetic design with a reputation for high quality and service. The DDR motors are designed for easy installation, easy use, and short lead times. The DH062M-12-1310 comes with a number of features and benefits, including higher bandwidth. Components that have mechanical transmission impose a restriction of how quick a machine can start/ stop while also extending the required setting time. The potential throughput of a machine is limited by these factors.

DDR motors eliminate these restrictions and allow machines to start/ stop more quickly. They also offer greatly minimized settling. Many users of direct drive systems have reported up to 2X throughput increases. Another benefit of the DH062M-12-1310 is zero maintenance and improved reliability. Some mechanical transmission parts (belts, gears) break. By removing these parts and using DDR motors, your machine’s reliability improves. Gearboxes need to be lubricated periodically and/or replaced in hostile start/ stop applications. Belts need to be tightened periodically. The DH062M-12-1310 has no time-wear components, which translates to zero maintenance.

DDR motors also have fewer parts. All you need is the DDR motor along with the mounting bolts.  Often, this replaces a number of parts like pulleys, brackets, couplings, guards, bolts, belts, and tensioners. This means that the DH062M-12-1310 comes with fewer parts on the BOM. You will, therefore, need fewer parts to buy, schedule, assemble, inventory, and control. With DDR motors, the servo’s assembly time drops from a number of hours to several minutes. Fewer parts also mean lowered cost considering the cost when removing the parts as well as the labor of all additional components.
