Product Description:
The DBL5N02200-0R2-00K-S40 is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen and supplied in the DBL Synchronous Servomotors series. It is intended for closed-loop axis control in automated machinery, where fast torque production and accurate velocity tracking are required during indexing, conveying, and point-to-point motion. Its standard construction supports compact mechanical integration in packaging lines, gantries, and other general factory automation equipment. The brushless design also avoids commutator wear in continuous-duty motion systems.
The motor uses a 142 mm square mounting flange that fits mid-frame gearheads and similar machine interfaces. Rotor position is returned by a resolver, an analog feedback device that tolerates electrical noise well in industrial cabinets. A 2-pole stator links electrical frequency closely to shaft speed and supports smooth servo response. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so vertical or suspended loads must be secured by drive torque or external locking hardware. The housing has an IP54 protection rating, and the feedback connector helps limit the entry of conductive debris.
Operation is permitted in ambient conditions from 5 to 40 °C with up to 95% relative humidity, making the motor suitable for climate-controlled production spaces. The output shaft is ground steel with a keyway, so pulleys or couplings can transmit torque without relying only on friction. Power and feedback terminate through sealed connectors that lock with a short quarter-turn motion and keep cable routing compact at the motor. Cable exits are angled toward side B so wiring can run parallel to the machine frame. The standard special-option code indicates that no factory deviations are included, and the standard-speed winding supports moderate base-speed operation with compatible servo amplifiers.
