The DBL4H00530-BR2-000-S40 is a synchronous motor built by Kollmorgen specifically for use with industrial robots, machine tools, textile and packing machinery. Although this motor maintains a very flexible operation, it is exclusively intended to be driven by digital servo amplifiers from Kollmorgen that can provide efficient speed or torque control. To protect the motor against over-temperature damage, a thermal contact is installed into the motor windings; this contact acts as a sensor that is observed and evaluated by the drive controller to quickly detect and prevent high operating temperatures. The DBL4H00530-BR2-000-S40 motor is unsuited for use directly on supply networks or potentially explosive areas. Also, the use of the motor in environments with corrosive or electrically conductive acids, alkaline, vapor or dust should be avoided.
