Product Description:
The DBL4-0950-60-Y-560 S-B P is manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied as part of the DBL Synchronous Servomotors series. This rotary unit produces controlled torque and speed for positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, and synchronized conveyor zones in automated equipment. When operated by a digital amplifier, the motor follows commanded motion profiles with minimal error, giving production machinery repeatable movement at high cycle rates. Its frame size places it in the middle of the series, making it suitable for applications that require moderate continuous power within compact machine layouts.
A square mounting interface measuring 105 mm simplifies flange attachment to gearboxes or adapter plates, while the standard-length stator keeps the overall depth compatible with shallow machine frames. The rotor is supplied with a smooth shaft, so torque is transferred through clamp or compression couplings rather than through a keyway. Because the motor is supplied without a holding brake, vertical loads must be secured by an external mechanism when power is unavailable. Drive torque can hold the load while the system remains energized. The motor operates at ambient temperatures from +5 to +40 °C, allowing cabinet installation without forced cooling when sufficient airflow prevents hot spots. It can also operate at up to 95% relative humidity, making it suitable for humid industrial environments where condensation is prevented.
As a brushless servo motor, the unit uses Hall or resolver feedback for electronic commutation without mechanical brushes. This arrangement reduces wear while supporting accurate rotor position monitoring and responsive control throughout repeated acceleration, deceleration, and positioning cycles. A feedback connector contact safeguard protects the signal contacts from accidental touch during handling or maintenance. The protected connection also helps preserve signal integrity by reducing the likelihood of physical damage to the feedback contacts. Its mounting arrangement and compact stator length support installation in automated machinery where available axial space is limited.
