Product Description:
Kollmorgen designs the DBL2H00020-24V as part of the DBL Synchronous Servomotors series. This brushless servo motor converts regulated power from a matched drive into controlled shaft torque for lightweight linear stages, pick-and-place heads, and miniature conveyors. Permanent-magnet excitation and digital feedback make the unit suitable for precise position and speed regulation in automated assembly and analytical equipment. Its compact format supports applications that require responsive motion without the mass of a larger motor. Closed-loop operation allows the connected drive to correct deviations caused by changing loads during repeated movement.
The motor supplies a continuous holding torque of 0.2 Nm at standstill, giving actuators enough torque to resist external loads without motion. A square 55 mm mounting face follows IEC sizing, allowing direct attachment to compatible gearheads or machine plates. The stator uses a high-speed winding, so its lower inductance supports rapid current transitions and an elevated base speed compared with standard coils. The motor has a standard-length housing that balances thermal dissipation with compact axial dimensions. Cable exits are sealed through a flange interface, keeping routing close to the frame and minimizing the required enclosure depth. The mounting arrangement also helps maintain alignment between the shaft and the connected transmission components. Secure attachment is important for limiting vibration that could otherwise affect positioning accuracy or bearing service life.
The permitted ambient temperature range is +5 to +40 °C, allowing continuous operation in climate-controlled cabinets without derating. Conformal coatings and seals tolerate up to 95% relative humidity under noncondensing conditions. Ventilation and dew-point control should prevent moisture from forming on the motor or its electrical connections. Maintaining suitable airflow helps keep copper losses and bearing grease within safe thermal limits during continuous duty. The motor should be coupled to a low-inertia load that remains within its available torque and thermal capacity. Cable routing should avoid sharp bends or strain at the flange, particularly where the motor is mounted on a moving axis. Adequate clearance around the housing also supports heat transfer and prevents nearby components from restricting access to the connection point.
