The DBL1X00010-0R2-LL0-P40 servo motor is produced by Kollmorgen as part of the DBL Synchronous Servomotors series. It is a brushless servo motor intended to deliver precise, low-torque actuation in compact industrial axes such as small pick-and-place heads or laboratory positioning stages. Built in the standard-length configuration and supplied without a holding brake, the unit relies on drive-generated torque or external mechanics to maintain its position when power is removed. This arrangement makes it suitable for lightly loaded horizontal applications where back-driving forces are minimal.
At stall, the motor develops 0.1 Nm of continuous torque, which is the maximum load it can hold without exceeding its thermal limit while stationary. A square flange measuring 37 mm allows direct mounting to miniature gearheads or frames while keeping the installation compact. The electromagnetic section uses a 2-pole rotor, so the electrical frequency corresponds directly to the mechanical rotational frequency, simplifying drive tuning at higher speeds. Power, feedback, and ground conductors exit the rear as flying leads, eliminating bulky connectors where installation space is limited. Rotor position is returned through a resolver, providing analog sine-cosine feedback that tolerates electrical noise. The smooth shaft has no keyway and transfers torque through a suitable clamping coupling. The motor uses its standard mechanical option without custom modifications.
The housing carries an IP54 rating, providing limited protection against dust ingress and protection against splashing water. A built-in PTC thermistor connected through the feedback wiring reports excessive winding temperature to the drive for overload protection. The motor can operate at ambient temperatures from +5 to +40 °C, allowing use in climate-controlled factories and similar indoor locations. It also supports up to 95% relative humidity under non-condensing conditions. Appropriate ventilation around the housing helps heat dissipate during continuous operation, while proper shaft alignment reduces unnecessary bearing loads and vibration.
