Product Description:
The DBK5043030Y560 S-B P is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the DBL Synchronous Servomotors series. It is intended for closed-loop positioning applications that require repeatable motion directly at the load without gearing. Its compact rotary design can drive linear tables, rotary indexers, or packaging actuators while reducing the need for additional transmission components.
At the shaft, the motor can deliver a standstill torque of 4.3 Nm, providing static holding force for precise settling during dwell periods. A permanent-magnet brake provides an additional holding torque of 5 Nm, so vertical loads remain fixed when power is removed. The brake operates at 24 VDC and dissipates 16 W while energized, with an inertia of 1.06 kg cm² and a mass of 0.75 kg. The 19 mm keyed output shaft is ground to 19 mm (k6), providing a tight fit with compatible couplings. Radial bearings tolerate a continuous side load of up to 640 N, while an axial thrust of up to 111 N is supported when helical gears or belt tensioners are used. Mechanical mounting follows the IM B5 style, with four 12 mm through-holes on a 165 mm bolt circle, a 130 mm pilot, and a 142 mm square flange for attachment to compatible gearboxes or mounting plates.
The motor operates from +5 to +40 °C without derating and is powered by three-phase drives that supply 230–480 VAC. Conformal coatings and sealed joints permit operation at up to 95% relative humidity, provided condensation is prevented. A PTC thermistor routed through the feedback connector protects the windings by allowing the drive to detect an overtemperature condition. The short housing reduces the magnetic stack length while maintaining a face dimension of 142 mm. This arrangement reduces installation depth and allows the motor to fit existing IM B5 mounting pockets without changes to the bolt pattern.
