Product Description

Kollmorgen is known globally for producing high-performance products such as the CT series step motors. Some of the step motors in the CT series have patented enhancing magnets incorporated in their stators. The patented enhancing magnets provide 25% more torque at all speeds. CT step motors are highly effective. The higher the power output, the higher the efficiency with these step motors. All CT step motors manufactured by this firm utilize high torque magnetic designs which feature small air gap, windings controlled using a computer, large rotor diameter and rotor magnets with high energy. This offers maximum or peak torque in the smallest package.

The CT step motors have cooling shells which are made of aluminum. The cooling shells remove heat quickly from the step motors hence allowing for higher current as well as higher torque ratings. This happens especially when the step motors are mounted. At lower temperatures, CT step motors usually produce the same torque for a long time. Also, CT series step motors have large bearings which enable them to accommodate high side loading as well as high thrust loads. The front bearings of some models of CT step motors are retained using a snap ring while their rear bearings are mounted in an O-ring to ensure noise is minimized and spinout is prevented. An example of a CT step motor is the CTP20NLF27NAA00. This short stack step motor is customizable and RoHS compliant. Additionally, it has a frame size of 5.7 cm. Moreover, this step motor has NEMA through holes for mounting. Lastly, CTP20NLF27NAA00 step motor features a smooth shaft which is round in the front, four leads connection style, and a winding current of 2.7 Amps.
