The ST-5101 is a special I/O module that Kollmorgen made that can work with high-speed counters. The module is designed to be integrated into automation systems that require precise position counting and input from encoders. A high-speed clock can be implemented on one channel of the ST-5101 I/O module. It is compatible with a standard 35mm DIN rail and includes a cage clamp connector-equipped terminal block that can be removed. When the I/O module is connected to 5.0VDC, 80mA of current flows through it. It can put out voltages between 18 and 28.8VDC. The interface is made to work with systems that need to receive signals quickly. It is a special I/O module.
