As a direct-drive rotary actuator, it mounts into a machine frame without additional bearings, allowing torque to pass directly to the load. This layout removes mechanical transmission components and is commonly used in indexing tables, web handling stations, and electronic assembly tools where smooth, position-controlled rotation is required. Kollmorgen supplies the stator and rotor set, allowing high-torque servo performance to be integrated directly into the mechanical structure of an automation cell.

The electromagnetic design is centered on a continuous stall torque of 50 N-m, delivered while the windings carry 12.8 Arms at rated thermal equilibrium.
