The AKM2G-73Q-ANJNCA00 is an extremely advanced motor design built by Kollmorgen Automation to provide a long-lasting solution for customers that require high torque supply and low inertia from servo motor units. Compared to other motor designs in its class, this product is able to produce about 30 per cent more power and reach a high operation speed. Its size is also significantly smaller to allow for easy installation for customers with limited installation space. The housing of this industrial motor unit features thick metallic material that helps it to easily withstand environmental conditions that will normally be considered too unfavorable for servo motors. There is also a chemical-resistant varnish designed to protect the product from corrosive liquids like dilute acids, dilute alkali and mineral oils. The operation of this product requires connection to a compatible servo drive. This is made available in the AKD drive unit, which is manufactured by the same company and equipped with integrated safe motion technology.
The AKM2G-73Q-ANJNCA00 motor features a smooth shaft unit that is able to support high torque; however, this shaft is not connected to any holding brake.
